It’s almost time for UFC Sacramento with a potentially highlight-loaded lineup on the way from California.
The card features 13 fights and will be headlined by a ranked middleweight scrap between Anthony Hernandez and Gregory Rodrigues in what should be a violent affair.
All 26 fighters set to compete successfully made weight for the card.
UFC Sacramento Picks & Predictions
My favorite picks for UFC Sacramento are Anthony Wint, Marcio Barbosa, Shanelle Dyer and Reinier de Ridder.
Not really loving many betting upsets this week, but Chris Padilla is currently a slight underdog at -105.
Anthony Wint is fresh off earning his UFC contract on the opening episode of DWCS last week and Dana White wasted no time getting him onto a card.
I expect Wint to come out throwing bombs and to pick up the relatively easy win that the matchmakers put in front of him for a highlight reel debut win.
Marcio Barbosa is one of the hotter and more dangerous prospects to come off last year’s season of DWCS and I love this spot for him to keep moving forward in the featherweight division.
I think Barbosa will land big early and doubt this one gets out of the opening round.
Dyer is coming off an impressive win in her UFC debut and getting a great chance to follow up on it with another winnable matchup against Elise Reed.
I expect Dyer’s striking volume to overwhelm and wear down Reed for a stoppage at some point or dominant decision.

Reinier de Ridder and Roman Dolidze are both moving up to light heavyweight for this one, but only one of them is a former world champ in the division.
I think de Ridder will be more comfortable making the move back up and to take advantage of a matchup with Dolidze, who is approaching 40 and shown a steep decline in recent years.
UFC Sacramento Betting Card
For the UFC Sacramento betting card, I’m keeping things pretty light again this week with a few small parlays.
The parlays are Dyer to Win Inside the Distance + Wint to Win in R1 + de Ridder ML (+189 for .5 units), Carli Judice by Decision + de Ridder ML + Hernandez/Rodrigues Under 3.5 Rounds (+285 for .5 units) and Jackson McVey ML + Shamil Gaziev ML + Mason Jones ML (+269 for .5 units).
Expecting a lot of violence and stoppages on this card, so leaned into that on a few spots, but also tried to stick with more moneylines on this card where methods were trickier to pick.

Since most of the heavy favorites are insanely lined down to the props, I tried a mix of some of the more reasonably priced favorites with McVey/Gaziev/Jones.
That’s three bets for a total of 1.5 units on the UFC Sacramento tracked betting card.
We didn’t track it since NFL is still in the preseason but also ran .5 units on Wint R1 KO + Miami Dolphins ML at +263.
With or without Jaxson Dart in the lineup, I don’t expect the Giants to risk it much with their top players in the South Florida heat while the Dolphins should take advantage of the home crowd energy to ride out a win under the new regime.

We also just placed the order for our first 8-card set of OddSmokerMMA custom trading cards called the Heat Signature series, so be sure to keep an eye out for those to drop in the coming weeks.
The series was designed to feature some of the hottest prospects and fastest risers in the UFC at the moment and includes a variety of fighters with future championship potential.
We’re really excited about this drop and stay tuned in early September for details on a live show on Whatnot where we’ll run some sales on the custom cards, have exclusive signed memorabilia available, run giveaways and more.
UFC 330 Quick Recap
We got cooked last weekend on UFC 330 going 7-5 on the picks and -2.25 units on the bets.
Almost got bailed out late with the Makhachev head kick, but unfortunately, he couldn’t put Machado Garry away.
Not mad we took a shot on Luque, but disappointed that we got smoked trusting Joel Alvarez to have an ounce of basic fight IQ to try looking for takedowns and submissions in that spot.
Next numbered event coming up is UFC 331 in Los Angeles on September 19th.
UFC Sacramento Notes & Wrap-Up
Overall, I’m expecting this to be really exciting card with a lot of highlight reel stoppages, but with such wide lines on most of the betting favorites, we’ll see how the bets turn out.
I didn’t have time to break down any picks or bets for PFL Tampa, but they have a loaded card tomorrow night too featuring a ton of former UFC talent and headlined by Cyborg’s potential MMA retirement fight.
Next weekend features an early start time here in the states with UFC Shanghai prelims kicking off overnight.
As always, best of luck on the bets and hope everyone enjoys the fights this weekend!
