We’re on the eve of UFC 330 and there’s an action-packed night of violence slated for tomorrow night in Philadelphia.

The card features 12 matchups and will be headlined by Islam Makhachev chasing history as he defends the UFC Welterweight title against Ian Machado Garry.

With a win tomorrow night, Makhachev would break his tie with Anderson Silva and hold the new record for the longest win streak in UFC history with 17 straight victories.

In the co-main event, Mackenzie Dern will attempt to make her first defense of the UFC Women’s Strawweight title against the surging Gillian Robertson.

All 24 fighters successfully made weight for the event, as well as Michael Morales as backup for the main event.

UFC 330 Picks & Predictions

My favorite picks for UFC 330 are Myktybek Orolbai, Mansur Abdul-Malik, Joel Alvarez and Esteban Ribovics.

My favorite potential betting upsets are Vicente Luque, Neil Magny and Kaue Fernandes.

Orolbai is going to most likely close as the biggest betting favorite of the card in a very favorable matchup against Jeremiah Wells to open the prelims.

I expect Orolbai to be slightly better pretty much everywhere in this one and to most likely look for takedowns and submissions along the way to a pretty dominant win.

Abdul-Malik is coming off his first career loss and getting a solid opportunity to get right back into the win column against Dustin Stoltzfus.

I think Abdul-Malik will come out of the gates looking to make a statement and use better movement and footwork to land a fight-ending shot sometime relatively early.

Joel Alvarez is also looking to bounce back into the win column, and I love his chances against Chidi Njokuani.

Alvarez will have an overwhelming advantage on the ground, and as long as he’s smart enough not to engage in an early firefight on the feet, he should be able to find takedowns and a submission.

Ribovics is catching Edzon Barboza at an opportune time in their careers, and I love this spot for him to pick a big win by pushing a pace that Barboza won’t be able to keep up with across 15 minutes.

UFC 330 Betting Card

For the UFC 330 betting card, I kept things fairly even between prop bets and small parlays.

The parlays for tomorrow night are Donte Johnson by KO/TKO + Alvarez ML + Makhachev ML (+255 for .5 units) and Luque ML + Dern ML + Makhachev ML (+269 for .5 units).

The UFC 330 prop bets are Alvarez by Submission (+190 for .5 units), Makhachev to Win Inside the Distance (+175 for .5 units) and Makhachev by KO/TKO (+900 for .25 units).

Went in heavy on Islam this weekend, and between it being an easy spot to hedge the parlays if they advance and Anderson Silva being my favorite fighter of all-time, I won’t be upset if Machado Garry pulls an upset.

With that said, I expect Makhachev to put on a statement performance as he etches his name into all-time greatness.

Makhachev will find ways to get this one on the ground and we’ve seen Machado Garry in trouble down there before between being controlled by Rakhmonov and almost being hammered out on multiple other occasions.

While those fighters weren’t able to close the deal and find a finish, I think Islam will either find the sub or put Machado Garry away with some vicious ground and pound.

Alvarez should look to take the simplest route against Njokuani, and I think he’ll make it seem pretty one-sided if he can get it on the ground and finish rather quickly.

I’ve been back and forth on the co-main event, and while I think Robertson will be live for the upset, I’m trusting my gut and betting Dern to get the job done.

Donte Johnson could find himself in trouble if his fight with McConico gets extended, but I think he’s going to be aggressive early and land big sometime in the first half of the fight.

That’s a total of five bets for 2.25 units on the UFC 330 tracked betting card.

We also have an untracked play coming into the weekend with legs from DWCS thanks to Tom Pagliarulo that needs Ribovics, Abdul-Malik and Makhachev to cash.

UFC Vegas 120 Quick Recap

Our five-week run in the green on the bets came to a halt last week with UFC Vegas 120, where we finished 9-3 on the picks and -0.29 units on the bets.

The card was pretty fun overall, highlighted by a massive win for Quillan Salkilld over Mateusz Gamrot in the main event, and continued a loaded month of fights.

We also had the return of Dana White’s Contender Series this week, highlighted by huge wins for Bilal Hasan and Anthony Wint earning contracts and already slated for upcoming UFC debuts.

UFC 330 Notes & Wrap-Up

Overall, I’m expecting UFC 330 to be one of those cards that exceeds expectations and ends up being really fun with quite a few finishes and some high-stakes fights to end the night including history on the line in the main event.

We’ve seen several big title fights end with stunning upsets this year by Justin Gaethje and Sean Strickland, so things should be really interesting with everything that will be on the line between Makhachev and Machado Garry.
