It’s almost Fight Day for UFC 333 and we’ve got a pair of title fights headlining the action tomorrow!
Alexander Volkanovski will attempt to defend his UFC Featherweight belt against Movsar Evloev in the main event, while Petr Yan defends the UFC Bantamweight title against Merab Dvalishvili to settle a trilogy.
The lineup features 14 matchups and 27 out of 28 fighters successfully made weight for the event with Nicolle Caliari missing the strawweight limit by 4.5 pounds.
Reminder this event is in Abu Dhabi, so it has an early start time here with prelims set to being at 10AM ET.
UFC 333 Picks & Predictions
My favorite picks for UFC 333 are Abdul Rakhman Yakhyaev, Azamat Murzakanov, Iasmin Lucindo and Petr Yan.
My favorite potential betting upsets for UFC 333 are Movsar Evloev and Ramazan Temirov.
Yakhyaev has been running through opponents with the ability to finish anywhere and he’s getting another great matchup here to keep rolling.
Nikita Krylov is a long-time veteran of the division and definitely presents danger if he gets going, however, I expect Yakhyaev to pressure early and to find a finish before he has the chance.
Murzakanov will look to bounce back from his first loss and getting a similar opportunity as Yakhyaev against a dangerous, but stoppable opponent in Dominick Reyes.
I think Murzakanov will find the chin sometime in the first two rounds and turn out the lights.
Lucindo should mostly cruise in her matchup against Nicolle Caliari and should use her movement to keep the fight where she wants it on the way to a decision or late stoppage win.

I’ve seen a lot of people torn on this matchup, and understandably so, but I really like Petr Yan to pick up another emphatic and clear win to round out his trilogy with Merab.
Unless Dvalishvili can somehow find a finish, I think Yan will take the rounds with superior striking and will also be live to crack Merab on an entry for a KO/TKO as well if he gets desperate or sloppy shooting takedowns.
UFC 333 Betting Card
For the UFC 333 betting card, we have a handful of short parlays and a couple of prop bets out for the event.
The parlays are Yan ML + Evloev ML (+202 for .5 units), Lucindo -3.5 Point Spread + Evloev ML (+230 for .5 units), Yakhyaev to Win U1.5 Rounds + Murzakanov by KO/TKO + Volkov ML (+356 for .5 units), Murzakanov by KO/TKO + Temirov ML (+246 for .5 units) and Yan ML + New Orleans Saints ML (+300 for .5 units).
The UFC 333 prop bets are Evloev by Decision (+178 for .5 units) and Yan by KO/TKO (+500 for .25 units).
For the main event, my heart wants to pick Volkanovski and I think he’ll be competitive, but I expect Evloev to put on a relentless wrestling pace that is going to eventually wear the champ out.
Even if the fight’s close, I think the judges are going to give the nod to Evloev unless Volk somehow runs away with it.
For the co-main, outside of maybe a strong opening round for Merab, I expect Yan to pick up an even clearer win this time around than in their last meeting in December.
Temirov is one of the hardest hitters at flyweight, and while I’m not confident he’ll KO Kavanagh, I think he’ll put enough damage on him to take the rounds on the scorecards.

I mentioned a couple months back we’d occasionally be mixing in some NFL on the tracked plays, and I love the Saints to pull an upset over the Steelers in Paris on Sunday.
I think the Steelers are going to get an underwhelming performance out of Aaron Rodgers overseas and for the Saints offense to do enough to squeeze out the win.
That’s seven bets for a total of 3.25 units on the UFC 333 tracked betting card.
UFC Edmonton Quick Recap
Another rough weekend in a string of them with UFC Edmonton reverse sweeping the bets for -2 units.
Trusting Diniz was a terrible decision in hindsight but thought the rest of the card was pretty decent other than wishing I’d swapped Croden for Galanti ITD on the parlay.
Buckley was definitely live for the KO/TKO before getting obliterated stepping into that kick/knee.

UFC 333 Notes & Wrap-Up
UFC 333 is another really tough card for the picks with a ton of coin flip matchups with credible arguments for both sides, but that usually translates to a fun slate of fights.
The seemingly never-ending stream of cards continues next weekend with UFC Vegas 123 to finish out October.
