It’s Fight Day for UFC Edmonton and we have an action-packed card headed our way from Canada!

The lineup features 13 matchups and will be headlined by a ranked welterweight showdown between Joaquin Buckley and Mike Malott.

All 26 fighters set to compete successfully made weight for the event.

UFC Edmonton Picks & Predictions

My favorite picks for UFC Edmonton are Nick Galanti, Melissa Croden, Mandel Nallo and Cristian Perez.

My favorite potential betting upset on the card is Joaquin Buckley.

Galanti will be making his UFC debut in this one against Julien Leblanc and should be able to get the fight to the ground and chase finishes until he finds one.

Croden is coming off a sharp performance in her last outing and with UFC Middleweight champ Sean Strickland in her corner, I think she’ll continue to show improvements here.

I expect Croden to get the better of the striking exchanges and to be able to get Chandler to the ground if needed for a decision or late stoppage.

Nallo and Nate Landwehr probably won’t last very long, and I think Nallo will be the one to find a big shot early.

Perez is making his UFC debut against a tested veteran of the promotion in Kyle Nelson, but he should be the better and more durable striker in the matchup to pick up a decision or KO/TKO win.

UFC Edmonton Betting Card

For the UFC Edmonton betting card, I kept things pretty light with a pair of parlays and prop bets.

The parlays for this one are Joel Faglier ML + Jhonata Diniz ML (+173 for .5 units) and Croden to Win in R3/Dec + Nallo ML + Perez ML (+214 for .5 units).

The UFC Edmonton prop bets are Galanti by KO/TKO (+365 for .5 units) and Buckley by KO/TKO (+225 for .5 units).

I expect Galanti to chase finishes on the ground against Leblanc and think he’ll be live for a TKO in between looking for submission attempts.

The main event should be competitive between Buckley and Malott, but I don’t trust Malott to go 25 minutes and think Buckley will be able to weather any early danger Malott brings his way to find a stoppage win.

That’s four bets for a total of 2 units on the UFC Edmonton tracked betting card.

UFC Vegas 122 Quick Recap

Last weekend at UFC Vegas 122 we somehow ended up with the elusive push for the night and broke even on the bets.

For what feels like the 10th week in a row, we had a decision go against us that could’ve swung the card, but that’s the dangers of betting on MMA decisions.

Franco by KO/TKO was probably a bad move in hindsight, but pretty happy with the rest of the card we ran.

UFC Edmonton Notes & Wrap-Up

Overall, UFC Edmonton should be a pretty fun card with a heavy helping of Canadian talent on the lineup.

The non-stop run of UFC action continues next weekend with UFC 333 in Abu Dhabi before we end the month with UFC Vegas 123 on Halloween night.

We’ve been trying to get these posts out earlier the past few months on Fridays but will likely switch back to early Saturday mornings for the rest of the year.

While we like trying to get the info out earlier, it’s come at the expense of being able to get late line openings and some other issues that haven’t helped with the bets.

Hopefully it’ll make a difference on our returns down the stretch, but we’ll see how it plays out.

As always, we hope everyone enjoys the fights and best of luck on the bets!
