UFC Macau: Song vs Figueiredo – Free Picks, Predictions, Betting Card & More

It’s almost Fight Day for UFC Macau and we have an action-packed lineup on the way headlined by a bantamweight scrap between Song Yadong and Deiveson Figueiredo.

All 26 fighters set to compete successfully made weight for their respective matchups.

Reminder, this card has a very early start time with prelims kicking off at 4am ET and the main card set for 7am ET.

UFC Macau Picks & Predictions

My favorite picks for UFC Macau are Song Yadong, Sergei Pavlovich, Jake Matthews and Kai Asakura.

The potential betting upsets I like the most are Jose Henrique Souza and Rodrigo Vera if his line fully flips.

Song Yadong is coming off a competitive scrap with Sean O’Malley earlier this year and getting an excellent chance to bounce back into the win column here against another former champ.

Song should control where this one takes place for the most part, have the size advantage and win rounds to pick up a decision or late KO/TKO stoppage.

Pavlovich will be looking to keep his spot in the heavyweight title picture, and as long as his takedown defense holds up if needed, I think he’ll be the more durable fighter in the striking to pick up a KO/TKO win at some point.

Matthews is another fighter getting a favorable matchup with Carlston Harris taking this on short notice.

I expect Matthews to dictate where this one goes, have more success in the striking exchanges and to be live for a stoppage down the stretch or a pretty clean decision.

It’s now or never for Kai Asakura to get going in the UFC after starting in a 0-2 hole at flyweight.

I expect Asakura to look better up at bantamweight where he was competing during his time at ONE FC and he should be able to a find a big shot against Cam Smotherman for a TKO win, particularly if he works the body.

UFC Macau Betting Card

For the UFC Macau betting card, we have a few small parlays and a couple of prop bets.

The parlays are Vera ML + Pavlovich ML + Song ML (+151 for .5 units), Alex Perez ML + Song -5.5 Point Spread (+146 for 1 unit), Rei Tsuruya to Win Ov1.5 Rounds + Cody Haddon to Win Ov1.5 Rounds (+200 for .5 units) and Song ML + Ov1.5 Rounds + KO/TKO SGP (+260 for .5 units).

The prop bets are Alex Perez by Submission (+350 for .5 units) and Haddon by Submission (+600 for .25 units)

The betting line on Rodrigo Vera has plummeted this week, but barring an injury or something, I think he’s going to weather an early storm and take this one over down the stretch.

Expecting a lot of finishes on this card and think Perez and Haddon will be particularly live to pick up wins via submission in their respective matchups.

Song should be able to put a pace on Figgy that I don’t think he’ll be able to match for 25 minutes, particularly if things aren’t looking close after the first couple rounds.

I think he’ll turn up the volume and start landing big as the fight progresses and he should be live to find the KO/TKO in the latter rounds.

That’s a total of six bets for 3.25 units on the tracked bets for UFC Macau.

UFC Freedom 250 Early Picks/Bets

We’re finally on the verge of the UFC Freedom 250 card just a couple of weeks from now, so sharing another early cross-card play starting this weekend and hopefully finishing at The White House.

The cross-card parlay is Asakura ML + Pavlovich ML + Song ML + Steve Garcia ML + Sean O’Malley ML + Topuria ML (+555 for 1 unit).

I think Garcia is one of the most live betting underdogs on the card and that there’s a good chance he’s going to put away Diego Lopes with a big shot.

I’ll try to post full early picks with the UFC Vegas 118 card next weekend and plan to have some more cross-card plays, so keep an eye out for that next week.

UFC Macau Wrap-Up & Notes

Overall, I’m expecting this to be a really entertaining card with some fun matchups, competitive fights and a handful of highlight finishes on the main card.

This card will finish things off for May, but we have a loaded lineup on the way next month with UFC Vegas 118, UFC Freedom 250, UFC Vegas 119 and UFC Baku.

As always, best of luck on the bets and hope everyone enjoys the fights tomorrow!
