It’s almost Fight Day for UFC Paris and we have a loaded card on the way from France featuring 14 matchups.
The card features a ton of French and European fighters and will be headlined by Salahdine Parnasse making his debut in the main event against Dan Hooker in a lightweight scrap.
All 28 fighters set to compete successfully made weight for the event.
UFC Paris Picks & Predictions
My favorite picks for UFC Paris are Mario Pinto, Michael Page, Losene Keita, and Parnasse.
My favorite potential betting upsets are Luis Felipe Dias and Axel Sola after the Klaudia Sygula line flipped.
Pinto has been on a roll going 3-0 since joining the roster and puts his undefeated record on the line again this weekend against Ryan Spann.
I expect Pinto to recognize the submission threat of Spann and to keep this one standing for a KO/TKO win.

Page is fighting out his current contract this weekend against Nursulton Ruziboev and will need to put a statement performance if he’s hoping to get a new deal.
I think Page will push the issue a bit more than he has in most of his UFC fights and that Ruziboev will also be more willing to engage, leading to MVP finally picking up a big highlight KO/TKO win in the promotion.
Keita came up short in his debut against Nathaniel Wood, but I like this matchup a lot more for the dangerous striker.
I expect Keita to manage his distance well, land big when he enters and to largely avoid being taken down to ride out a decision win or possibly a late stoppage.
While many top-level fighters from other promotions have struggled making the jump to the UFC, I love this matchup for Parnasse to really shine against Hooker in his debut.
At this point, Hooker’s durability is pretty clearly on the decline, and he’s suffered some pretty rough injuries on top of brutal finishes in his last couple of outings.
I think Parnasse will be able to control the pace and distance in this one to land big early and to eventually find a KO/TKO win in the middle rounds.
UFC Paris Betting Card
For the UFC Paris betting card, we’re keeping things pretty tight and mostly stayed on moneyline spots for the parlays.
The UFC Paris parlays we have out are Sygula ML + Page ML + Parnasse ML (+300 for .5 units), Dias ML + Page ML + Parnasse ML (+290 for .5 units) and Pinto by KO/TKO + Wood ML + Keita ML (+213 for .5 units).
The only prop bet we have out for this one is Page by KO/TKO (+325 for .5 units).

With MVP’s back pretty firmly on the wall to earn a new deal, I didn’t mind going a bit heavier than usual to see if he can follow through with a big win or ends up headlining Scott Coker’s return to MMA in 2027.
If the parlays advance to Parnasse, you’ll be able to grab Hooker ML for an easy hedge for the ones who want it.
That’s four bets for a total of 2 units on the UFC Paris tracked betting card.
UFC Shanghai Quick Recap
We had another underwhelming night at the office last weekend for UFC Shanghai going 7-5 on the picks and -0.52 units on the bets to finish off a tough month for both.
We got to see a stunning knockout from Song Yadong putting away Umar Nurmagomedov in the main event to take the sting off a little bit, but hopefully we can get back on track this week.
New Merch Updates
Big thank you to everyone who has already picked up a shirt from our new merch drop with Dione Barbosa and reminder that our UFC OKC shirt collab with her is currently on sale at a big discount too.
We finally got the “Heat Signature” custom card series uploaded and available in our OddSmokerMMA Whatnot shop, so be sure to go check them out if you’re a UFC collector.
The eight fighters in the series include Tommy McMillen, Ateba Gautier, Josh Hokit, Fatima Kline, Damian Pinas, Quillan Salkilld, Bia Mesquita and Kevin Vallejos.
If you’re new on Whatnot, you can use our sign-up link to get a free $25 to shop with on the site/app, which covers a full “Heat Signature” set or whatever you want to use it on.
You can also search and find the individual cards or the set on eBay if you prefer doing your shopping on there.
UFC Paris Wrap-Up & Notes
Overall, I’m expecting this to be another tough card to pick with a lot of volatile matchups and favorites who are hard to trust at the price, so hopefully we can navigate it with a little luck for the bets.
This is another card with an early start time here in the US with prelims starting at 12PM ET, so make sure to plan accordingly and get your bets in early.
Next weekend, we have Noche UFC headlined by Jean Silva and Jose Delgado to continue the action for September.
Keep an eye on our social media accounts this week, we might jump on Whatnot for a live show at some point and we’ll be giving away a signed Jean Silva card and other items on there if we do.
As always, best of luck on the bets and hope everyone enjoys the fights tomorrow!
