UFC Vegas 63: Picks, Predictions, Betting & More

Fight Poster for UFC Vegas 63: Calvin Kattar vs Arnold Allen

I’ve been pretty under the weather this past week and unfortunately never got the chance to post the usual early/full previews for UFC Vegas 63 like I had originally intended.

However, I still wanted to make sure to get something posted for what should be an exciting card capped off by Calvin Kattar vs Arnold Allen in a battle of top featherweight contenders to see who gets one step closer to a shot at champion Alexander Volkanovski.

Since I wasn’t able to get the previews up, I want to make sure everyone has access to the best UFC Fight Night Statistical Companion that I’ve come across and a tool I always use when researching UFC events:

As for my picks for this card, there are only a few that I really like with Arnold Allen, Dustin Jacoby, and Chase Hooper topping the list.

Allen and Kattar could potentially put on a fight of the year candidate, and I think the bookmakers are spot on a majority of them having this fight listed at right around a Pick Em (-110 each).

While Kattar has the experience advantage in the UFC facing some pretty solid names in his recent fights, Allen is a perfect 9-0 so far in the promotion and will be looking to make it an even 10 with a victory in this one.

With Josh Emmett already waiting in the wings and Yair Rodriguez also recently being rumored as a potential challenger for the title, it’s unlikely that Allen would jump over both of them in the rankings, but not impossible if he wins dominantly.

It could also set up the potential for Allen to face either Emmett or Rodriguez in an official title eliminator in March when the UFC returns to England that would determine an official number one contender to face Volkanovski in the future.

If you’re looking for underdogs on the card, I really like Joseph Holmes, Roman Dolidze, and Cody Durden to potentially pull off upsets in their respective fights.

I haven’t placed any bets yet for the event since I’ve been under the weather all week. However, I will definitely be placing a couple later this afternoon after weigh-ins have finished, so be sure to check back this evening for the full OddSmokerMMA Betting Card.
