It’s almost Fight Day for UFC Belgrade and we have a stacked card for the promotion’s first trip to Serbia.
The lineup features 14 matchups, including nine debuting fighters, and will be headlined by a welterweight clash between Uros Medic and Daniel Rodriguez.
All 28 fighters set to compete successfully made weight for the event.
UFC Belgrade Picks & Predictions
My favorite picks for UFC Belgrade are Navajo Stirling, Mateusz Rebecki, Vlasto Cepo and Michael Oliveira.
My favorite potential betting upsets are Dusko Todorovic and Milos Janicic.
Stirling is taking a big leap up in competition on paper with his matchup against Jan Blachowicz, but I think he’s getting the fight at an excellent time for a statement win.
Blachowicz is 43 years old, had multiple surgeries in recent years including both shoulders and had to turn down a main event last week because he was unsure that he could make weight despite already being set for the card.
I expect Stirling to push a pace against the former champ and think he’ll use noticeable speed differences in his movement and striking to find a KO/TKO win at some point over the aging Blachowicz.
Rebecki has been on the wrong end of a few violent fights recently, and with his back pretty much on the wall here, I think he’ll get things back on track against Kyle Prepolec.
Rebecki should be the more technical striker, dictate where the fight goes and might even be live for a stoppage at some point down the stretch of this one.

Cepo is making his UFC debut and getting a great matchup to put his highlight-reel knockout power on display against Gilbert Urbina.
Oliveira is also making his debut and will put his undefeated record on the line against Oban Elliott.
I expect Oliveira to be the more dangerous and durable of the two in striking exchanges on his way to a KO/TKO or decision win.
UFC Belgrade Betting Card
For the UFC Belgrade betting card, we have a few small parlays and a prop bet open.
The parlays are Rebecki to Win Ov1.5 Rounds + Oliveira by KO/TKO (+198 for .5 units), Rakic by KO/TKO + Stirling ML (+194 for .5 units) and Leka ML + Milosevic -3.5 Point Spread + U1.5 Rounds Main Event (+215 for .5 units).
The UFC Belgrade prop bet I have out is Stirling by KO/TKO (+260 for .5 units).

This card is a tough one for the bets with so many debuting fighters, but I tried to mix in some well-known commodities with them, so we’ll see how it turns out.
Leka is going to have a roughly 50-pound size advantage in his matchup that he should be able to maximize.
I almost ran Milosevic to win inside the distance but ultimately decided to settle on the spread for a clear decision or stoppage win over Cowan.
Rakic is moving up in weight off a string of losses, and while I have doubts about his long-term success at heavyweight, he should be considerably more skilled and faster than Tybura.
That’s a total for four bets for 2 units on the UFC Belgrade tracked betting card.
UFC Abu Dhabi Quick Recap
We had a decent weekend with UFC Abu Dhabi going 9-3 on the picks and finishing +2.15 units on the bets.
Not the most exciting card we’ve seen, but still a pretty good way to end things for July and continue getting everything back on track after a rough first half to the year for the bets.
PFL & MVP Merger Quick Thoughts
In case you missed the news release yesterday, PFL and MVP will officially be merging together in the coming months under the MVP MMA banner.
Huge news for the sport as the long self-proclaimed “co-leader” of MMA gets a much-needed boost from working with Jake Paul and the MVP brand while John Martin continues his role as CEO.
A lot remains to be seen as far as new brand strategy, event plans, broadcasting and more, but this seems really promising for both fans and fighters to have a stronger competitor in the field beside the UFC.
Usman Nurmagomedov is set to complete his current PFL contract later today against Archie Colgan at PFL New York, so the potential bidding war for his future services just got a lot more intriguing.
UFC Belgrade Notes & Wrap-Up
Overall, this should be a pretty fun card with a lot of potential for finishes and highlights.
Tomorrow’s event kicks off a busy month of fights with UFC Vegas 120 on the way next weekend and DWCS returning the following week on August 11th.
Be sure to keep an eye on our shop on Whatnot this week, I’ll most likely be adding our first OddSmokerMMA custom trading card on there and we’re already looking into printing a small 8-card set as well.
As a reminder, you can use our sign-up link if you’re new to Whatnot and get a free $25 to spend on their site, so don’t miss out on that opportunity to grab free or discounted cards and memorabilia if you’re a UFC collector.
The fights start early tomorrow here in the US with prelims kicking off at 10AM ET, so tune in early.
As always, best of luck on the bets and hope everyone enjoys the fights!
