It’s officially fight week for UFC Vegas 64, and although the lineup isn’t exactly filled with household names, it should still be an exciting event with a handful of solid fights to get everyone ready for UFC 281 the following weekend.
There are 13 total fights with Marina Rodriguez and Amanda Lemos facing off in the main event after the originally scheduled headliner of Bryce Mitchell vs Movsar Evloev fell apart due to an injury on the Evloev side.
Both women are looking to make a big step towards a title shot in the Strawweight division and getting a win this weekend could put one of them in prime position for the next shot against the winner of Carla Esparza and Zhang Weili next weekend.

Neil Magny and Daniel Rodriguez should be a solid fight between ranked contenders at welterweight in the co-main event. It was originally booked for last month but was pushed back due to a Rodriguez injury, so it’ll be interesting to see if there’s any lingering effects there in this fight.
Jailton Almeida and Miranda Maverick are a couple of big betting favorites that I really love on this event and I’m looking forward to the prop markets opening up in the coming days to hopefully find some good value on both.
Grant Dawson vs Mark Madsen should be an interesting fight also with the two having a 30-1-1 record between them. Dawson has looked very solid in the UFC so far and Madsen will have his hands full if he plans to leave with his perfect record intact.
Several fights on the UFC Vegas 64 prelims could also be very entertaining, with Jake Hadley vs Carlos Candelario and Mario Bautista vs Benito Lopez both potential fight of the night contenders on paper.
Nate Maness and Ramona Pascual will both be dropping down to new weight classes in their respective fights, while Almeida and Maxim Grishin will be contested at a 220-pound catchweight.
Even though most MMA fans (including myself) will be looking slightly ahead of this card to UFC 281 the following weekend, I still think UFC Vegas 64 has the potential to be a really fun event and I’m really looking forward to a couple of betting spots on this card.
