We’re headed back to the Meta APEX for UFC Vegas 114 this weekend with a pretty entertaining lineup headlined by Josh Emmett and Kevin Vallejos in a featherweight showdown.
All 28 fighters successfully made weight for the event at the weigh-ins yesterday in Las Vegas.
However, several needed the curtain to hit the mark, so keep an eye on cardio late for a few (Johnson, Robertson, Rahiki).
UFC Vegas 114 Picks & Predictions
My favorite UFC Vegas 114 picks are Kevin Vallejos, Jose Delgado, Bia Mesquita and Gillian Robertson. My favorite potential betting upsets are Eryk Anders (pick ’em at several books now) and Steven Asplund.
Vallejos is getting a huge opportunity with his first UFC main event against a long-time staple in the division rankings, and I expect him to cash in with a big performance.
Vallejos should be able to weather any big shots from Emmett early while finding some of his own and I think there’s a decent chance he’ll put him away in the opening rounds.
Delgado is coming off a decision loss to Nathaniel Wood but looked pretty solid in the matchup with one of the best unranked fighters in the division.
I expect him to land the bigger shots here against Andre Fili and for the damage to add up for a KO/TKO stoppage or pretty clear decision win.

Mesquita is coming off a pretty dominant win in her UFC debut and will look to keep the run going here with a slight step up in competition against Montse Rendon.
I think she’ll be able to hold her own in the striking early long enough to get this one on the ground and she should be able to find another submission win or squeeze a potentially narrow decision on the cards.
I’ve been waiting on this spot for Robertson since the original booking in December was pushed and still really love the matchup for her despite a small limp yesterday during weigh-ins that was hopefully just dehydration related.
Robertson has continued to improve her game all-around, while Lemos has mostly reached her potential in that area, and I think she can hold her own in the striking long enough to find takedown opportunities.
I expect Gillian to eventually get this one on the ground where she’ll have a pretty heavy advantage and likely look to add an 8th submission win in the UFC to her record resume.
UFC Vegas 114 Betting Card
For the UFC Vegas 114 bets, I have a handful of straight plays and a few small parlays.
The straight bets are Anders by Decision (+275 for .5 units), Asplund ML (+220 for .5 units), Asplund to Win and Ov1.5 Rounds (+300 for .25 units), Sy by Decision (+300 for .5 units), Robertson by Submission (+300 for .5 units) and Robertson by Armbar (+600 for .25 units).
The parlays are Anders ML + Delgado ML + Vallejos -5.5 Alt Spread (+297 for .5 units), Smith to Win and Ov1.5 Rounds + Orolbai to Win and Ov1.5 Rounds (+185 for .5 units) and Vallejos ML + U599.5 Seconds Same Game Parlay (+220 .5 units).
That’s a total of nine bets for 4 units on the OddSmokerMMA UFC Vegas 114 Betting Card.
Anders looks to be in terrific shape and think he can get this one done on the scorecards at a pretty high clip.
Asplund is very durable and if he can avoid getting subbed or knocked out early by Petrino, he should have the volume and cardio to take this fight over for a late stoppage or decision.
I definitely wouldn’t recommend parlaying Robertson after seeing the limp but still think wins this one by sub and she’s found six of them in her MMA career by armbar.
We have only had two UFC main events end by finish so far in 2026, but I expect we see a third tonight with this one. Both guys land big and are unafraid to stand and throw and I think Vallejos makes a statement in this spot.
UFC Vegas 114 Wrap Up & Announcements
We came up annoyingly short last week with some iffy scorecards and what passed as a BMF title fight costing us, coming up -1.69 units on the wrong side for UFC 326 and continuing a slow start to the year on our UFC bets.
I’ve started working on adding our 2023 results to the OddSmokerMMA Bet Tracker, and after combing back through a few years of picks and bets with this little project, I’ll be making some small adjustments to the plays going forward.
Dana White dropped a ton of huge fight announcements this week featuring the UFC 328 lineup (Chimaev vs Strickland), as well the six-fight UFC Freedom 250 lineup for June 14th headlined by Ilia Topuria and Justin Gaethje.
Looks like we have a lot of great cards on the way over the next three months with events every weekend leading up to the UFC White House event except for May 23rd.
We also have some really exciting announcements of our own dropping with next weekend’s UFC London picks, including an awesome business we’re partnering up with, as well as our first OddSmokerMMA brand ambassador!
We’re extremely excited for these moves and hopefully we’ll have one or two more things to announce in the process.
Overall, tonight should see a handful of exciting fights in the smaller APEX octagon and I’d be surprised if we don’t get a few highlight reel finishes during this one.
Make sure you’re following us on our social media accounts and let us know who you’re riding with for tonight.
As always, best of luck on the bets and hope everyone enjoys the fights!
