UFC Louisville: Cannonier vs Imavov – Picks, Predictions & Betting Card

The UFC is on the road again this weekend with UFC Louisville taking place later today. The card features 14 bouts and will be headlined by a middleweight matchup between Jared Cannonier and Nassourdine Imavov. The rest of the lineup for this one is pretty solid and hopefully we’ll see more finishes than we did at UFC 302 this past weekend. On the first card with the new UFC gloves, there were only 3 stoppages and 0 wins coming via KO/TKO. I expect that to adjust back to mean a little bit this week with a few more finishes, but it will be interesting to see how those numbers look after tonight.

My favorite picks on this card are Raul Rosas Jr, Carlos Prates, Eduarda Moura and Brunno Ferreira. I’ll be honest, this card doesn’t have very many trustworthy spots on it in my opinion, so I wouldn’t recommend loading up on anyone this weekend. Rosas Jr should have a massive advantage in the wrestling and grappling over Ricky Turcios and I expect him to grind out a decision with a lot of takedowns and control with an outside shot of finding a sub. Prates will likely be the more dangerous striker in his matchup with Charles Radke and I expect him to beat up the body and legs particularly for a comfortable decision or late TKO finish. Similarly to Rosas Jr in his matchup, I think Moura will hold a sizeable advantage in the grappling over Denise Gomes and as long as she can survive the early power threat, I expect her to pick up this one via decision. Ferreira packs a ton of power, and while Dustin Stoltzfus will likely be live the longer this fight goes, I think Brunno will be able to find an early KO/TKO in this spot.

For the betting card this weekend, I have four official bets and a couple of untracked plays with legs already entering the card. The official bets for today are Prates by Decision (+375 for .5 units), Rosas Jr by Decision (+210 for .5 units), Reyes by Decision (+550 for .5 units) and Rosas Jr/Reyes/Imavov ML parlay (+679 for .5 units). That’s a total of four bets for 2 units. While I think all three of those fighters will be live for stoppage wins, I think more often than not they make it to the cards and liked the lines for each. I really Dominick Reyes in this matchup against Dustin Jacoby. If Reyes has anything left in the tank, now is the time to show it. Although Jacoby is a solid striker, I don’t think he packs the same power as the guys that Reyes has struggled with in recent fights and as long as his chin holds up, I like his chances to get back into the win column. The lines that I have out to cash on the untracked plays coming in are Moura ML, Daniel Marcos ML, Ov 4.5 rounds on the main event and to go the distance. Best of luck and hope everyone enjoys the fights!
