It’s finally Fight Day for one of the most stacked cards the UFC has brought us in quite some time. UFC 299 takes place in Miami, Florida tonight with a loaded 14-fight lineup headlined by Sean O’Malley attempting to defend the UFC Bantamweight title against Marlon “Chito” Vera in a rematch of O’Malley’s lone career loss. In the co-main event, we’re getting a rare five-round non-title fight between Dustin Poirier and Benoit Saint Denis in what should be a banger.

My favorite picks for this card are Sean O’Malley, Kevin Holland, Mateusz Gamrot and Asu Almabaev. O’Malley is one of the best pound-for-pound strikers in the promotion, and while Chito is extremely dangerous and a solid striker himself, I don’t think he’ll be able to keep up with O’Malley across five rounds. Sean will likely try to control the distance in this one and attempt to pick apart Vera from range. Holland vs MVP should be an absolute treat to watch, but I think Holland will prove to be the more well-rounded and durable fighter at this stage in their respective careers. Holland should be able to pick up the decision or late stoppage in this one. Gamrot will likely control his matchup with RDA by trying to get the fight to the ground early and often, and I think he’ll have enough success doing that to pick up a decision or late TKO win. Almabaev is currently the biggest betting favorite on the card, and with good reason. He should be able to find a submission in this matchup with CJ Vergara.

Since I’m in Florida attending the card tonight, bets are a little more limited than I would like them to be since I don’t have access to FanDuel and DraftKings, who have the best MMA/UFC prop bets in my opinion. However, I still have a few small parlays and prop bet out for this one. The parlays: Gamrot ML + Yan ML + O’Malley ML (+217 for .5 units), Blaydes ML + O’Malley ML (+167 for .5 units), Olekseijczuk ML + O’Malley ML (+230 for .5 units) and Holland ML + Poirier ML + O’Malley ML for (+485 for .5 units). I intentionally loaded up plays with O’Malley since he’s my most confident pick on the card and there will be solid hedge spots available with Vera’s ML and ITD prop. The only prop bet that I have out for this one is Poirier by KO/TKO (+365 for .25 units). That’s 5 bets out for 2.25 units in all.
