We’re kicking off the month of February with a bang as UFC Vegas 85 gets things started with 13 fights later today. The card will be headlined by a clash of middleweights when Roman Dolidze and Nassourdine Imavov face off in the main event. The co-main event between Drew Dober and Renato Moicano should be a lot of fun also. Fortunately, there weren’t too many issues during the weigh-ins for this card, with only one fighter missing weight (Luana Carolina missed by two pounds on her second attempt).

My favorite picks for this event for this event are Nassourdine Imavov, Renato Moicano, Randy Brown, and Azat Maksum. I think all four of these fighters will be live for stoppages or pretty clean decisions in their respective matchups. Moicano and/or Dober are pretty likely to see a performance bonus tonight in their fight, but I think Moicano will the more well-rounded fighter here and be able to avoid the power shots from Dober on the feet to pick a submission win. My favorite underdog pick for this weekend is Makhmud Muradov in his matchup against the undefeated Aliaskhab Khizriev. Khizriev showed up in much better shape for this matchup than he did in his debut, but I think Muradov will be able to weather an early storm and get this one done down the stretch or on the cards.

For the betting this weekend, most of the plays I ran are prop bets since there aren’t many/any fighters on this card I trusted enough to load up on. My only money line bet this week is Muradov ML (+146 for .5 units). I also have the following prop bets open: Stoliarenko by R1 Sub (+320 for .25 units) and Stoliarenko by R2/3 Sub (+480 for .25 units), Muradov by R2/3 KO/TKO (+750 for .25 units), Brown Inside the Distance (+200 for .5 units), Moicano R2/3 Sub (+500 for .25 units), Imavov by R3/4/5 KO/TKO (+700 for .25 units) and Imavov by R3/4/5 Sub (+1600 for .25 units). I’m also running a SGPx on DraftKings with Kansas +2.5 and Imavov ML/Ov 1.5 Rounds/Imavov Most Takedowns (+638 for .5 units). That’s nine tracked bets for a total of 3 units across them. I also have a couple of parlays entering the weekend needing Brown ML and/or Moicano ML to cash. Best of luck to everyone betting today and hope everybody enjoys the fights!
